50th Wedding Anniversary Preparation and Celebration

What a celebration we had in Ithaca!  My parents 50th wedding anniversary was on July 21 and although we knew it would be, it proved to be a very special and meaningful day for my parents and all of us.  The adults (dare I call myself that??) had a lot of fun planning, shopping, cooking and spending time together while the cousins splashed and played together with Grandma and Grandpa.

We arrived to a nice full pool that the girls immediately jumped into.

Grandpa arrived after picking up some dog food at the store and jumped in the pool too!

Catching the wind with Aunt Sandy

Good morning sunshines

There were weeds in the lake like we have never seen before!  Look at that big pile that we took out of the water.

The weeds are clear and now we can play.

Good old Kona girl

Madeline and Marin were super excited to go out so far into the deep with Aunt KK.

Hide and Surprise!  I think they could have played this game for hours!!
Siblings dressed and ready to go! Kelli, Scott, Karen, Karla and Sandy
Getting ready for the big day!  Some of the meat we prepared for the party.

Everyone helped with the food.

Aunt KK working on decorating cupcakes - 48 down, 48 more to go!

Madeline was waiting so patiently to taste the frosting after KK finished, but it was such a busy day and her little eyes  could not stay open any longer.

Keeping busy

Although these flip-flop picture frames may look like frames to us, they caused a little confusion for Charlotte.
