Halloween 2012

Our Halloween plans changed a bit at the last minute this year.  We were going to go down to NJ to trick or treat in Aunt KK and Uncle Peter's neighborhood, but due to Superstorm Sandy Halloween was postponed in NJ.  The Romero's did not have power so they came up to stay with us instead!

Trying out their costumes.

This owl is going to fly away!

Pumpkin time

All dressed up and ready to go! Pink princess, Drakulaura, Owl and Lamby.

spoooky little pumpkins. Abby designed the one on the left, Charlotte in the middle and Marin on the right.

Celebrating Marin's "unbirthday" so she could enjoy the perks of her birthday in her Poughkesspie school since we will not be here for her real birthday.

Long Island Visit

We had a wonderful visit to Long Island visiting with family, eating wonderful food and soaking up the warm October sun at the beach.

The water is just a little chilly.

"Rubby Ducky" going for a swim

Boy are we going to miss the ocean.

Lobsters for dinner, yeah!! I think we are all excited.

A weekend in Poughkeepsie

We had one weekend in October that we were in Poughkeepsie and here are a few snapshots at home.

Modeling their Halloween necklaces.

What, is something wrong?

Of course we weren't doing anything...

An excerpt from the e-mail from Rev. Heather about the communion bread we were working on:
The main thing to keep in mind is that this bread, when baked, is a cross (at least shape-wise) between flat bread (like Naan) and a traditional round peasant loaf.Somehow I stopped reading after cross (at least shape-wise) and thought it needed to be shaped like a cross!!!  Oh well!

At the top of Skytop Tower at Mohonk Preserve.

The girls road in the Chariot while Mommy and Daddy ran the 8+ miles.

A  tea party of sorts without the table.
