Christmas on Long Island

We had a wonderful time spending Christmas on Long Island.  The festivities started with a Sicilian Christmas Eve filled with yummy seafood and family.  Christmas morning was filled with present overload, which the girls thoroughly enjoyed and more tasty food.  After Christmas we visit the NY Hall of Science and had a fabulous sushi dinner.

All dressed up and ready to go.

This opening presents is hard work!

Do you think you can catch this Uncle Joe?

Boy are they silly.

Papa's turn to play catch.

We love stockings!

This backpack was Marin's undoing.  Once she opened it all interest in the reaming presents vanished.

Pete and Mike decorated this tree during Advent when they were children.

December Visit to Grandma and Grandpa's and Aunt KK and Uncle Peter's

With Daddy's big book deadline looming, the girls and I went up to Ithaca for a few days to give him time to work. The following week we played with Abby and Madeline and saw Santa Claus!!

Checking out the piano.

Marin thought Grandpa needed some company while he was resting. Kitty and bunny snuggled up with him.

Watching how to put the track together for the train.

Helping with the track

Helping Grandma make kalachki cookies.

There is the train!

Everyone loves to sit on Aunt Karla's lap!

Nice Kona

Marin loves the train, just like Grandpa!

Daddy being a good sport and comforting Baby Cinderella when we were out to dinner.

Three ballerinas having so much fun!

Madeline sandwich

What you can't see in this picture is both Madeline and Charlotte were waiting in the bathroom to keep Marin company. These girls love to spend time together!

Waiting with the neighbors to see Santa.

Here he comes, on a fire truck!

And we got candy canes!!

A cold group of kids ready to go inside with their candy.
