For the season of Advent we have a number of family traditions that become even more special and fun as our children grow. The advent wreath we use was the one Pete's family used as he was growing up. The Advent basket has a small gift for each day of the season, leading up to Christmas. First the kids find the day of the month on the Advent calendar, then they find the corresponding numbered gift and look to see whose name is on the back. Since Marin is just learning to recognize a few numbers and letters this was a fun exercise for her and Charlotte had fun guessing. Bonne Mere put the basket together so every day the gifts were a surprise to all of us!
