Weekend Fun

A recent weekend we had unseasonably warm weather so we decided to drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park to see the leaves and enjoy the cooler temps. Unfortunately, the traffic was so bad we stopped in Lyons (only 15 minutes from our house and it took us 45 minutes to get there) and we had a very hot hike. The kids were having a tired leg day so it was all for the best that we did not drive up to the park.

Sweet baby pulling up on everything these days!

Our first break - about 1/4 of a mile from the car.

Finding treasure

More treasure

"summit" photo - aka where we turned around about 1/2 mile from the car

Enjoying apple pie a la mode by the fire.

Pizza time - M&C always enjoy their pizza more when they make it themselves.

No one will notice if I take just a few more....

Ready for the oven

Time to eat!

Run Rabbit Run Race

We had a beautiful weekend in Steamboat when Daddy ran his first 100 mile race. Although he had to drop at mile 90, which was a very hard decision, but definitely the right decision, it was a great race.

Team Bronski ready to go at the chilly start!

Daddy getting ready mentally to start this race.

And they are off...of course up hill!

Two little cheerers waiting for Daddy.

Here he comes!

Looking good

Sweet baby waiting for Daddy.

Coming into the next aid station.

There is a lot of waiting involved with this sport!

Looking good Daddy

Waiting at our last evening checkpoint before Daddy is out on his own for the night.

Still smiling - that is what we like to see!

Bringing Daddy in

Another chilly morning after a very cold night!

There he goes until we see him at the end.

Entertaining ourselves in town - time for a ride on Lightning.

More Bronski Kid Pictures!

We are settling into our new routine with the school year. Marin and Charlotte's schedules rotate so Timothy and Mommy get to play with one girl at a time Monday - Thursday and on Friday both M & C are in school for the AM so it is just Timothy and Mommy time!

Two kitchen helpers - Timothy is always pushed against the back wall because he will jump off the counter if given the opportunity!

Both girls (and Mommy) have really figured these blocks out!

Just a few puzzles one morning...

Keeping Timothy company while he eats.

Look who is standing!

Not for long...

We love our new tea pot Bonne Mere!!

Double-fisting banana muffins

Time to do a little painting.

Daddy brought a shirt back from the Portland GF conference for each kid and they had a picture to color!

Timothy Joseph - 8 months old!

Marin has to be Timothy's biggest cheerleader! She loves when he is working on a new skill and standing is a pretty important one.
Who is that under the table?? What a big boy!

A little play time before school one morning.

Charlotte, you don't mind if I play with your baby??

Labor Day Weekend 2014

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend based from home. We opted to stay local and had a blast!

Everyone ready for a big hike

Could this baby be any sweeter???

I love these ladies!

"summit" photo - at least we made it above treeline!

A little lift to rest those tired legs.

Marin helped make our red snapper dinner.

This fish is surprisingly heavy!

An Elsa kiss for Timothy.

Time for bocce ball

Enjoying the fire

Experiments with Daddy are serious business.

The sugar tastes MUCH better than the salt!

Hmmmm, what do we think of the cocoa?

Delicious, that is what we think!

I think I found the sugar!!
