What a week!

Last week was a crazy week, but we are all doing much better now!  Marin is drinking her milk wonderfully and I am on the mend.  Here are a few x-rays of my right foot after surgery.  There are 13 screws and 2 plates and as long as everything heals ok and does not bother me, all of the hardware will remain in my foot.
Mom came out right away and helped take care of Marin and me.
Getting ready for a walk to enjoy a beautiful Colorado day and get some fresh air.

We have all had a lot of play time in the living room.

Helping Dad with dinner.

Celebrating Grandma's birthday a few days early.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and support during this challenging time.  We appreciate all of your help both near and far.

Play Time

Pete is mountain biking from Fruita, CO to Moab UT this weekend so Marin, Altai and I have had tons of play time!  It turned into a three day weekend because the snow storm on Friday was too big for me to go to work in the Sentra.  Not to worry though, the weather has turned sunny again and it should be in the 70s by Tuesday; all of the snow will be gone soon!  With three full days of playing we have way too many pictures, but enjoy!

BIG smiles!

Marin's little hands are very fast and strong!  She thought she needed some book-completion celebratory wine too.

She is going to get that bee one of these days.

Marin really enjoys tummy time now.

Time to eat

Let's go out and play in the snow!

...or just sit in it.

Eight inches of snow fell.

Altai enjoyed it most of all!  He was too excited to even come closer for a picture.

Worm is a favorite toy.

All this playing can really wear you out!

It was such a nice day today.  Marin, Altai and I went for a walk on the South Boulder Rec Center trail.  There were too many people and dogs though, and Marin is not so sure she likes to ride in the stroller, so it was a short walk.

Back in the car getting ready to go home.

More play time

Marin loves her toes!

She is almost able to sit by herself, she just tends to tip forward.

Have a great week everyone!

Love,
Marin, Altai and Kelli (Pete too!)

Happy Easter!

The past week has been very busy with finishing up the cookbook, yeah!!  As you can tell, Mom and Dad sometimes need a little comic relief after hours of working together and discussing recipes... :)

Yummy, cinnamon rolls

I love to play with my Daddy!

I am now properly shielded to stare directly into a nuclear blast!

I may have the Snugride car seat, but Mommy has the Snuggie!

Have a great week!

Marin

Settling into our new routine...

As of March 23, I went back to work, Marin started daycare, and Pete has been very busy finishing up the cookbook among other assignments.  We are all doing well and adjusting to our new routine.
In preparation for going back to work Marin started sleeping in her crib and she is doing great.

Happy Girl

This is Marin trying out her new sun hat. She is not so sure about it.  :)

Sitting in her bumbo, she is getting so strong!

First ride in the stroller.

Chatting with Daddy.

We enjoyed the beautiful weather and went for a walk in the foothills.

At least it keeps the sun off her face!

At our final destination with Altai in tow.

Marin loves to laugh!

Yes, that is snow.  It fell the Thursday of the week I went back to work.

Look at Marin stand!

The cookbook is almost finished...

We'll write again soon!
