End of April 2014

Our girls who are so reluctant to have their picture taken at times will always step up for a book photo! These will not be used in the book, but they are pretty cute pictures!

That is a pretty great pizza!

Charlotte working on Timothy's hair again.

Daddy was giving Altai some love and the girls needed in on the action.

Gotta work on those abs! I have to buckle his bouncy seatbelt now...

Enjoying some new additions from a shipment from Bonne Mere of duplos that Daddy and Uncle Mike played with. I was not able to snap a picture, but you should see Marin with the "boy legos" aka regular tiny legos that all the boys in her class play with. She mostly enjoys mixing and matching the people parts, but I am sure we will get into building.

At times I need to leave the girls for quite a while to get Timothy to sleep. I am learning this is critical for all of our wellbeing. This is what I found when I came back downstairs - all of the sidewalk chalk had been dissolved and their bodies were completely covered in chalk. When they asked me if they could turn the hose on I said sure...

Timothy intently watching Marin and Charlotte draw - he is anxious to join in the fun.

Planting some hanging baskets for the porch.

I promise, Charlotte did enjoy this. :)

Getting the pot ready for our Easter fig tree from Grandma and Grandpa.

There she is, Katrina Figgy.

We all needed a picture with our tree. We are thinking of getting more fruit trees to plant!

Fancy lady with a cookie!

Another cookie eating lady pose.

Hanging out in the kitchen while I make dinner.

When he gets tired of being on the floor I can usually get a few extra minutes in the bumbo.

Easter 2014

Time to dye our eggs.

Look at those great colors!

Timothy is sleeping through his first egg dying session. I think big sister is pretty excited though, or maybe she is just getting tickled.

Sweet smiles

Silly smiles!

Time to give those eggs a try.

Looks like the Easter Bunny came to our house.

Finding Easter eggs is better than Christmas morning!

Do you see Timothy tipping his head for his morning kiss from Charlotte? She makes sure to do this every day and he knows it!!

Time to sort the eggs and check out the loot.

The money was initially a disappointment because they wanted more candy until they realized this would give them a big boost towards filling up those piggy banks. What to buy...Marin says a toy...Charlotte says shoes. :)
Easter picture taken by a friend at church.

Happy Easter from home.

Bubbles! What a wonderful day we had.

First Race of the Season - Fruita, CO

Pete's first running race this year was in Fruita Colorado. He ran this race last year and we camped, however, with Timothy only 3 months old we decided a hotel was in order. We drove out to Fruita on Thursday night, rested up and relaxed on Friday and the race was Saturday. The weather on Friday was amazing, however, it rained for hours on Saturday. The race was a muddy slog and Pete decided to run only 26 miles instead of running the course twice for the planned 52 miles. Charlotte even lost her shoes in a puddle because this mud was so sticky! His race went well and although we were happy to cheer him on for another round, we were even happier to get out of our muddy shoes and drive home earlier in the day when he finished the first lap.

Playing in the hot tub since the pool was too cold.

All ready to take a dip, but the hot tub was too hot for this little one!

Enjoying a little Kindle downtime.

Happy baby! I think we should all hang out in one room all the time!!

Daddy "preparing" for his race. :)

Cheering crew ready to go.

Racer is ready too.

There is Charlotte's face.

And the runners are off!

"Planting a few trees."

Playing in the mud - there was plenty of it!

The cowbells are out! Daddy must be coming.

Here he comes and he is muddy!

The lesser known balance the cowbell rather than ring the cowbell. We often have A LOT of time to kill.

Daddy coming into the finish!

Yeah, the sun is shining.

Family selfie - did I really just use that word???
