Rome June 2018

We spent a few days in Rome where we took in some of the sights and of course ate tons of pizza including one of our new favorite types, Roman Crust which is thin and crispy yet still chewy.

Our airbnb was in a residential suburb, which allowed us to be completely immersed in the local culture. We walked to this little cafe for breakfast and we were definitely the only tourists!

Charlotte loves coffee and this was her very first cappuccino decaffeinato that was all her own.

We found the oldest gymnastics facility in Rome after quite a bit of searching.

Daddy working with the girls.

Good morning, ready for another day!

A GF bakery is always a good start to the day.

Heading to the train station to go into Rome. Tim is a lucky boy to get a lift from his big sister!

Happy Father's Day! We're off to see the sites, and eat pizza.

Gelato before lunch, why not when it comes from a 100% gluten free gelateria!

The Pantheon

Waiting to head in, there was a private service the morning we went.

We found the center!

Next up the colosseum.

It is so surprising how this perfectly round building looks oval from the inside!

We were all ready to sit down and enjoy a cold beverage and some pizza.

Gelato twice in one day, why not?

Playing at the playground across the street from our airbnb while Daddy got some work done.

A new day and Marin wanted to try a cappuccino decaffeinato also.

We spent quite a bit of time at different train stations.

Tiber River

Although it looks likes these girls are too tired to go to practice they are actually watching ants!

More private time in the gym, thanks Societa Ginnastica Roma!

Perhaps a future gymnast?

Waiting at the bus stop with a bit of antiquity all around.

Circus Maximus

It is wild to consider how long everything has been here!

Afternoon aperol spritz and a bit of air conditioning.

Did this boy have gelato again?!

Ready to head back to our airbnb.

Afternoon futbol, we squeezed in as much of  World Cup as possible.

Lievito 72 was walking distance from our airbnb, again off the beaten track.

Photographer Charlotte had some asks of the group. - Smile

Be silly

Final day in Rome and this GF bakery was open, yeah!

We had to walk across the Tiber for one of pizzaria stops this day.

Mama Eat Roma
Timothy played this game every chance he got on this trip.

Pizzeria Teresina needed to be included, what a treat!

This video has not sound, but the pizza sure was delicious!

Brothers who run this pizzeria.

Last late dinner in Rome.

Breakfast before we hit the road to Napoli!
