Bangkok June 2018

Bangkok was our first stop during our big summer adventure 2018. We had an amazing time experiencing a culture that is so different from our own. Of course, the ultimate highlight of the trip was meeting Baby Alexander and seeing Aunt Kim and Uncle Jason!!

Rocky Mountains
First leg down, now we're in Canada.

Airport shenanigans

Super cool fish tank at one of the airports on our way to Bangkok.

Flight delay.

The last leg until we reach Thailand!

Thailand

Shuttle to our airbnb

Quite a view from our apartment!
Meeting Alexander for the first time, so tiny!

We could do this all day...
Alexander's Nanny, Khun Porn, is cutting up some fresh fruit for us, lucky kiddos!

Checking out the very cold pool at our Airbnb.

Dinner time at Aunt Kim and Uncle Jason's apartment.

Ready for my bath Mommy!

This flower garden was on our walk between the condo we were staying in and where Aunt Kim and Uncle Jason lived.

Fabulous lunch spot at Jack's Bar right on the river.

Time for a foot massage.

The foot massage finishes with a shoulder rub!

Taking the hotel ferry across the river.

Dinner in Aunt Kim and Uncle Jason's suite.

Bangkok

The grounds at Wat Pho.

The Reclining Buddha is REALLY big!

Ready to go to The Grand Palace.

This is one overheated crew on a mission to find a cold drink.

Temple of Dawn - we'll see you another day!

Boat ride back to our condo.

Just a few lovely orchids at Uncle Jason's hotel.

Time for some pool fun!

Swimming with Aunt Kim.

River view from the pool.
Almost every night in Bangkok, this was what these three looked like.
The view from the boat on the water.

Ready for our long boat tour.
The next few pictures are where they are restoring processional long boats for the King's coronation ceremony.

There are just a few power lines...

We found elephant pants!

Huge snails come out after the afternoon rains.

Tasty Indian dinner! Tim is sleeping between two chairs out of the picture.

Hotel pool at The Peninsula

Baby Alexander, take a look at the light-up snow globe I picked out at the market.

Everyone is in the pool!

Everyone has their elephant pants on!

What an amazing visit!

Last night in Bangkok; we had to take a tuk tuk!
