Advent 2014 Part 1

Advent has arrived!! We all look forward to this wonderful season each year and this year was a blast. We continued our new tradition from last year to do an activity together every day focusing on spending time together and giving to others. Here are some photos from the first half of the season.

What fun it is to start a new calendar.

Activity for day 1 was to finish decorating the house - time for some garland, and because our tree was so trim this year we had a full mega-string of lights to go on the railing from the top to the bottom.

Timothy went to bed before we started decorating so he had a few ornaments to put on the next day.

I am suppose to put this on the tree??

Everyone loves Beanie!

so soft

Time to string some popcorn and cranberry garland.

Timothy has the right idea. I picked bad corn this year that popped with small puffs making the stringing very tough - eating was much easier!

I cannot resist touching!

This game never gets old!

Focus, focus...

Yeah! I got it in!

Our glamourous girl. She must have picked up this skill somewhere else since she did not see it with this Mama!

Lovely

Timothy loves to play with cars! He zoomed this car all around the playroom on this day.

Happy St. Nicholas Day! It is best to start with chocolate.

Look (almost) no hands!

Zoo Lights

We went to the Denver Zoo Lights with our friends the Wilkins and it was amazing, but VERY busy.

Is it my turn to pick a card??

Timothy has a hard time turning around when he hits the wall so big sister Marin helps him out.

Paper Snowflake time

Charlotte thought the snowflake needed a bit of color.

Look what I found on the floor.

Leg warmers from Bonne Mere and the girls wanted to show their wooden shoes too, which Bonne Mere made for each of them the first Christmas after their births. Timothy got his pair this year!

TJB - 11 months old

Happy boy!

Sweetie with the snowflakes and garland.

Daddy had a work event so we all ate dinner from Timothy's tray, and helped the little guy eat too.

Marin is just like Grandpa and will hang anything on the tree to make now "tree toys". This is a hair thing!

Charlotte exchanged her St. Nicholas boots for these red ones.

The result of our first make-up party - a new Advent Activity after many requests.
