With all of the cooking and baking for the cookbook the girls and I have felt a little confined in the house during the week so we decided to take a day and have an adventure. We went to a park by Boulder Creek and hiked up part of Mount Sanitas finishing the adventure with a foot soak in the creek. It was too cold for me but the girls would have played all day in it if they could have!
Little climber
She made it!
Marin did too.
Snack time
What a steep slide.
Are there any bugs under this log?
Gathering tall dandelions for a project.
Success!
I have known this for a while, but this hike confirmed that Marin and Charlotte will feel tired after walking on a flat sidewalk for 30 seconds, but they have bottomless energy to hike up mountains.
Time for a little rest.
So sweet - Marin did not want Charlotte to slip stepping over the tree roots.
Stopping to gather treasure.
Scrambling to "our summit".
Summit shot
The girls were curious what was in the "black cave".
After peaking in the hole, Charlotte thought it was a little scary.
Back down to the creek.
What a fun day!
