Valentine's Festivities

For many Valentine's Days while we were growing up Aunt Barb and Uncle Gene would come to Ithaca for the great cookie bake-off.  Aunt Barb would make a double-batch of cookie dough and we would spend an afternoon making and decorating cookies.  There was always a little cookie burnout by the end, but we had such a wonderful time making and eating the cookies.  My Mom even sent two Tupperware containers of the famous Valentine's cookies to me when I was in Australia!

The tradition goes on as the next generation got in on the action this year.  The girls loved it!  Thanks to Aunt Kimmy for the idea to get together!

A cookie that Madeline made all by herself!

At least some of the frosting went on the cookies. :)
