Camping with the Wilkins

We had  a wonderful camping trip outside of Crested Butte with our friends the Wilkins.

Quiet, early morning moment

Our camp

Dean, Harper and Tim

Harper and Tim spent a lot of time exploring together.

Our crew ready for a hike.

These kiddos found this log, carried it almost the entire hike, and brought it back to camp to make a fort. It seemed like a ton of work, but they were happy to do it for this particular log.

Feeling the cool mountain stream.

Mamas

Our mountain dog enjoying a quick dip in the stream.

Taylor Park Reservoir

We started a game of Uno in the trailer when it started to rain. The rain stopped, but this epic game of Uno went on and on and on and on....

Sunset

A morning cup of tea.

Ready for our hike.

Charlotte was our leader on a little excursion behind our campsite.

Perched on top of an old hunting stand.

Here comes Marin!

Tim's turn.

Charlotte at the final pond she wanted to show us.

Her elephant tree landmark.

Old abandoned cabins at an old mine.

Checking out the mine.

The smallest miner's cabin we have ever come across. There was just enough room for a bed and small space on the floor.

This must have been the stove for the cabin. The hinge still works!

Turnaround spot

What a beautiful part of our state.
