Father's Day Weekend

We had a busy and super fun Father's Day Weekend this year. Pete had two requests - hike above tree line and go rock climbing. Done and done! The kids had a blast and I think Daddy did too. :)

A windy start at Loveland pass - please note we are starting above tree line!

Big girl Charlotte getting a lift.

Marin in her element, what a view.

Finding a caterpillar.

Notice Marin is carefully holding her caterpillar.

On the VERY windy summit!

Taking full advantage of the wind shield provided by the rocks.

Happy Father's Day

Is that Charlotte or Grandpa Terry?

Reading her card to Daddy

Time for Marin's card.

Everyone can help open presents!

Happy to be out rock climbing.

Marin giving the climb a go.

She made it up pretty high!

Charlotte getting ready to climb.
Being up high is not Charlotte's favorite place to be...time to come down!

Our friend Chris climbing for the first time.

Riley and Charlotte think Chris is pretty silly!

At the base of the climb was a stream, it could not have been more perfect. The kids had as much fun playing in the water as they did climbing!

The boys staying on the edge of the water for now.

Megan's turn.

She made it to the top!

My turn to give it a go.

It is so fun to be on the rock again!

Repelling down

Riley's turn to climb.

Marin heading up again.

And Daddy got to climb too.

Harvesting (aka thinning) some greens to go with our pizza.

Yeah for pizza time and a day to celebrate Daddy!

Three helpers, what a lucky Dad.
