Memorial Weekend

The entire month of May was very cold and wet and that was the forecast for Memorial Weekend too, so we opted to rent a cabin instead of camping in our tent. It was a great decision and we had a blast, especially when we were warm in our cabin watching the sleet fall on and off all weekend!!

Our sweet little cabin

These bunk beds are the best!

I am not so sure I like these rice crispy things

We do!!

Out exploring around the cabin.

I like this place a lot!

Check out this "pot full of stew" - the girls were on a mission the entire weekend to find as many "pots" as possible.

Yeah, I am big enough to step on this log...

The sleet is falling...

We never go in his room after he falls asleep because he is a light sleeper, but being in the cabin we could actually peek at him sleeping, so sweet.

A little morning puzzle time.

This is the way to cook breakfast while "camping"! Yes, that is the espresso pot behind me, this was hardly a roughing it trip. :)

Time for a hike up to Kruger Rock.

Taking a little break.

Another pot!

A beautiful view down into Estes

Our turnaround photo - about half a mile shy of the summit. The sleet started falling fast and furious!

Another exploratory hike around our cabin.

A lift from Daddy.

Our first baby is so sweet and so big now!!

Back home and ready for the bocce ball season opener.

Welcome SUMMER

Oh wait...I think we might have a problem here...

I found this little white ball again!! Timothy's new favorite game - grab the white ball as fast as possible. :)
