I asked Marin and Charlotte what they would like to do on our first official day of summer after school finished up, and the resounding answer was go for a hike. Daddy gave us some great ideas of hikes close by, and we headed to Rabbit Mountain in Lyons, about 20 minutes away. We had a great time although both big girls were tired before we hit the trail junction when we needed to decide what route to take. It was wonderful to be out together and although our hike was shorter than expected, it was perfect since a thunderstorm rolled in right after we got to the car. Also, our only goal when hiking at this point in our lives is to have a positive and fun experience!
