Daddy's First Race 2013 - Fruita, CO

Last weekend Daddy had his first race of the season and it was a doozy! The terrain was beautiful and the field of competitors was very strong. Daddy placed 27th out of 131 finishers. He had a good race and the girls were super cheerers.

Early morning start and everyone is ready.

A little chilly...

And they're off! Daddy is in the bright yellow near the middle.

Charlotte having her own race.

Marin's turn.

Practicing cheering

I'm soooo happy to be here!

Is he coming?

There he is!

Go Daddy Go!

He was a little too hot...Marin is not quite sure what to do with this smelly shirt.

There he goes.

At the next aid station where we waited the girls figured out that if they hold their hand out the runners will give them a high five.

Daddy coming in for the hit!

Crossing the finish line. Nice run!

Checking out the finishers medal.

At camp after the race. What a great first weekend out for the season.

Enjoying a little walk along the campground. We were in a really cool canyon.

Using a telescope to try to see big horn sheep on the hillside.

I'm balancing!!
